Forsyth, GA  Support GroupsVocare Networking Support Group - Our Story

Christ United Methodist Church hosts several community Support Groups.

For over 55 years, Al-Anon (which includes Alateen for younger members) has been offering strength and hope for friends and families of problem drinkers.  It is estimated that each alcoholic affects the lives of at least four other people…  alcoholism is truly a family disease. No matter what relationship you have with an alcoholic, whether they are still drinking or not, all who have been affected by someone else’s drinking can find solutions that lead to serenity in the Al-Anon/Alateen fellowship.

Al-Anon Groups meet EVERY WEDNESDAY at 8:00 PM at Christ UMC.

AA Group

Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self supporting, multiracial, apolitical and available almost anywhere.  There are no age or educational requirements.  Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem.

The AA group meets every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights at 8 pm
at Christ UMC.

NA Group

Narcotics Anonymous describes itself as a “nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs have become a major problem”.  Narcotics Anonymous uses a traditional 12 step model that has been expanded and developed for people with varied substance abuse issues and is the second largest 12 step organization.

The NA group meets every Tuesday evening at 6 pm at Christ UMC.
